Wall Street

money money money Pictures, Images and Photos

Unless you live in a bubble, you've noticed that things on Wall Street don't seem to be stable. There is an overall panic in our country and it's making things worse!

My husband works in the financial industry and he will be the first to tell you that the reason why our country is in this mess is becasue of GREED. The sad part is that our entire economic system is run on borrowing and lending! This is contradictory to the Word of God which clearly tells us to owe no man anything but love.

So how do you feel about all of this? Are you scared? This is my husbands only source of income, so by the worlds standards we should be scared, but glory to God we aren't. Here is our reason for having peace:

Psalms 20: 6-7 Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed; He will hear him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Jehovah our God.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hi Sonya!!!

Thanks for your awesome encouragement on my weight loss!! I really appreciate this!

This is the way I look at the financial mess our country is in: All of the things that are happening are already foretold in the Bible.

Any thing that I may have in my possession belongs to God--He can give and He can take away.

The sin of materialism is what has caused this mess--the "I want it and I want it now" version of living. So, people just go out and charge way beyond there means, thus causing such a great deficit.

God has always provided for me, and I know that He will continue to. So, no, I'm not worried either.

Thank you, God, for always providing for me, for granting me the wisdom to live within the means that you have given me.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen.

Beth

So many bible topics come to mind here...be satisfied in plenty and in want...don't worry about what you eat or wear...and on and on.

God tells us he will supply our needs - but not our wants. That is where we've gotten into trouble - with our wants. (the world I mean). So now the consequences come.

Thankfully we have a God who we can lean on when times are hard.

This is a vital truth. I really feel like God has been prompting His people to be *right* stewards of His resources and that He is also prompting us to BELIEVE that He is our Provider. This year I have become so very aware that we tend to rely on our employers as our Providers instead of on God. Yes, the job may be one of God's provisions but we quickly make it what we are relying on. He has proven to me this year especially that He alone is my Provider.

The economy in this nation is horrific but I fully believe that if we will turn back to Him whole-heartedly, then He will help us. Even if the nation as a whole does not, He will still Provide for His own no matter what. If He will appoint birds to feed His servant in the wilderness, then He will do what is necessary for His servants today too.

Sorry this is long. :)

We really do think a lot alike. I wrote about the same issues on my blog today.

I hear Him reminding us loud and clear...for your peace needs to remain in Me!

I don't listen to the news-ever. It may make someone shriek in horror over my ignorance-on-purpose as far as 'news' goes. I find it is ALWAYS depressing, and does not edify me in the Lord. I want my gaze to be on Him. All this stuff distracts me from that.
I know He will take care of me.
Love, Debra

I know that God is in control and He will take carry of our needs.

You're husband is right about greed, my husband has said the same thing.

I'm so blessed,my husband is good at handling God's money and is always improving his working skills to provide for the family. I tell him often that he's a hard worker:)
