Thankful Thusrday #48

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Welcome to Thankful Thursday! If you'd like to participate, just copy the T.T. button on my sidebar and paste it into your post. Next write down five things you are thankful for this week. Finally, come back here and link up with Mr. Linky. It's that easy!

Here's my list for this week:

1) I'm thankful that on Saturday, October 17, Tim and I will be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary! Now that's something to get excited about!

2) I'm thankful that we are getting rain. This has been a year with abundant rain here in Virginia and it's a refreshing break from the droughts in recent years.

3) I'm thankful that I live in a rural town. We had a business expo recently and it was just plain fun. We knew so many of the people who were there that it was a blast.

4) I'm thankful for supportive friends. God has really blessed me with some of the closest, most loyal friends I could have ever asked for.

5) I'm thankful for answered prayers. Recently, I was in my truck with my youngest and realized I had to drive 15-20 miles and my tank was on E. The gauges were freaking out and I thought, "I'm going to run out of gas!" So, I prayed and asked God to be my "I Am" and to be my fuel until I made it to the gas station. Do you know what happened next? My gas gauge went up just enough that the light went off and I made it safely to the gas station! WOooHOo! Today - Miracles are taking place because God is AWESOME!

I've prayed the "gas tank" prayer on more than one occasion myself:-)

This week the theme seems to be friends:-) Glad you're among them, Sonya!

Happy anniversary! And I love the gas miracle...I remember hearing a pastor preach about he needed gas but didn't have any money on him and God provided...Simple things like that-those types of delightment is the signs and wonders that I get so tickled and excited to hear. Blessings on your anniversary. I hope God blesses you with many many more (and a babysitter for the night :))

Our God is a God of everyday miracles...aren't we lucky He found us and invited us to be His people? Yahay!
And 17 years...hmmm...have you heard the Billy Graham story?
An interviewer asked his wife how it was to live with such a man and had she ever considered divorce? No,sez she, just murder...!!!
Apocryphal I'm sure but....

God is awesome great, marvelous and just full of love and grace. I can see His hand woven completely through you life and the words you so elegantly pen on your blog. Congratulations a little early on your blessed anniversary of 17 years young and many, many more happier and fun-filled years to come.

Happy Anniversary!!!

And that is an awesome miracle. I love the part in Pulp Fiction where they're talking about miracles. I know, I know...Pulp Fiction?! But seriously. A miracle is more than just 'stopping bullets' but more so, it's feeling that God got involved. :)

Okay, if you were celebrating your 17th birthday on the 17th day of a month, they call that your "golden" birthday. Right? So does that make this your golden anniversary? No wait, that's the 50th. Can you have two golden anniversaries?! Either way, congratulations :-)

Happy Anniversary.

There's a song, "God is great, He does miracles so great, there is no one else like You/Him". And another "God is good all the time."
I don't know why but when I hear stories like this songs always come to my mind. Praise the Lord for your gas miracle.

God is good...........All the time. My preacher says this from time to time and it is always good to hear a story where you know that is true. God was definitely with you when you were about to run out of gas. 17 years is a long time. I just celebrated my 10 year. Congratulations!!

I am now following you and want to participate in the Thankful Thursdays!!

When linking up to you, I typed in my name instead of my the name of my blog and then I spelled my name wrong!! Anyways, it is "The Mitchell's" if you have any way of changing that.
