Thankful Thursday #42
Welcome to Thankful Thursday! If you'd like to participate, just copy the T.T. button on my sidebar and paste it into your post. Next write down five things you are thankful for this week. Finally, come back here and link up with Mr. Linky. It's that easy!
Here's my list for this week:
1) I am thankful that my husband and I complement one another. He is a creative introvert and I am a social extrovert. Knowing that we can balance each other out is a great thing. Understanding one another's differences is so important.
2) I am thankful for all of the people who have poured out love into my life over the past week. The cards, flowers, food, notes on my blog and FB and the phone calls have all been instrumental in my healing process.
3) I am thankful for a close family. It has been very healing to just hang out with my Mom and my siblings and other relatives over the past week. Family is so important, and my Dad made sure we were all close.
4) I am thankful that my kids are going to school this year. I see God's divine plan in that because I've been freed up to be with my Mom every day this week and that's awesome. I am also thankful that my kids are enjoying school. That is an answer to prayer.
5) I am thankful that I see God's loving fingerprints all over the events leading up to my Dad's leaving this world for heaven. While that is another post for another day, just know that God has shown us His handiwork in preparing us and taking care of us through this tragic event. I'm so grateful for the Cross and what Jesus did for me and my family!

Another Awesome post Sonya. I am also thankful that you posted early today for reasons explained in my post. I won't be able to comment on your followers until this evening but I will get it done. Have a Blessed Day.
Hi Sonya,
I am so thankful that you are feeling so much love and experience God's healing during this time of grieving. I am also glad you have a close family and can see God's fingerprints through it all. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I will continue to pray for comfort and healing for you all during this time. Much love, Laurie
Sonya that is a Glorious list!
I can see God's healing hands at work!
So glad that you can see God's hand in everything. We don't always understand his timing, but faith is believing that he has a plan just the same.
Understanding one another's differences is so important.
AMEN! Love to you as you continue keeping your eyes on Him. Yolanda
I am so glad that your kids have settled into school. It is hard worrying about them isn't it?

Sonya, Jesus loves you! He is so wonderful, isn't He? :)
You ladies are GREAT!!!!
This is my first link with your post, and I have truly enjoyed reading what everyone is thankful for! What a blessing you are!
Hi Sonya. This is my first time linking up with you, and I'm glad I did! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!!
Sonya,
I am thankful that you put this blog posting together so that we are all united with lifting up our blessings to God for everything He has touched in our lives this week.
Thank you so much for uniting this body for this cause and I love your number 5, it became my number 1 as well. Great minds think alike.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I love when you can visibly see the fingerprints and handprints of God on our lives. What a loving, faithful God we serve!
Blessings ~ Lisa
Thanks for sharing your Thankful Thursdays! I am Kat's hubby from Heart 2 Heart. Take Care!
Steve,
What a comfort for you to see how God has been at work during the days surrounding your dad's death. He loves us so and is so good to us!
This is a great meme!! I have been wanting to start a meme like this because I think it is so much needed to praise God for the little and big things. It will help us stay rejoicing that is for sure. I will join in next week for sure. I found you through Alicia in More Than Words
Your positivie sprit and Christian faith is contagious. God's blessings on you and your family. wb
Okay Sonya,
You're going to laugh. I misread #1 and thought it said that you and your husband "compliment" each other. I figured you went around all day telling each other how good looking you are! LOL Too funny!
I've been doing the Thankful Thursday for a while but don't recall comenting on your TT's. I have always read them I know.
It's so good to have a Heavenly Father who loves and takes care of us even in the bad times. So sorry about your dad.
I just lost a very close cousin on Sept 1. She was 88 years old but a very determined lady. I will miss her.
Have a blessed day,
AliceE.
I am so sorry for your loss Sonya. I lost my dad in 1985. The pain lifted but I thought about him everyday for years. God will see you through.
Much love to you!
