Thankful Thursday #25

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Welcome to Thankful Thursday! If you'd like to participate, just copy the T.T. button on my sidebar and paste it into your post. Next write down five things you are thankful for this week. Finally, come back here and link up with Mr. Linky. It's that easy!

Here's my list for this week

1) That I am in love with my husband! He recently left for a few days on business and I felt like a teenager again. We sent texts and emails and ecards as often as possible. I realized how much strength I get just from being in the same room with him. We are soul-mates.

2) I am thankful for my Mom. With Mother's Day on Sunday, I wanted to tell the world how much my Mom means to me. Growing up (and now) she has always led by example. She's a woman who loves God and her life is a song of praise to Him! She is also my friend, when we get together, we laugh and just enjoy one another. She is an encourager and supporter and she is always there when I need her. I love you, Mom! Happy Mother's Day!

3) I am thankful that God keeps on nudging me out of my comfort zone. He is gently pushing me out of my little world and into His perfect Will for my life through service. He is such a gentleman.

4) I am thankful for encouraging friends! I recently began emailing a friend I met through my local Christian Writer's group. We've been challenging one another to keep writing and submitting. I tell you what, nothing like a little accountability to keep you focused! God knows what we need and when.

5) I am thankful that my kids are doing well at the Christian School we've enrolled them in. They've only been homeschooled, so this was a HUGE transition and they are finally getting into the groove.

I love your TT list but the one that I really connected with is moving out of your comfort zone. That is difficult for me and God has been slowly and ever so gently been urging me out. And you are so right... He is a Gentleman. Have a blessed week!

I am thankful, too, that God doesn't allow us to stay in our comfort zones! I am also thankful your kids are doing well at their new school. Any word on the house situation? I have an award for you on my blog. Don't feel you have to pass it on. I appreciate your meme and I appreciate you sister! Love, Laurie

I think "Uncomfortable" is exactly where God wants us to mold & change us. Funny, huh?

I think your mom is "DA BOMB!" You are really blessed to have a friend, mentor & mom all wrapped into one.

So glad you & your honey survived the time apart - absence makes the heart grow fonder. ;-)

Great post! I can relate to getting out of my comfort zone right now, too. I definitely think that's a good thing. I am also thankful for a wonderful husband. I am so glad that your family is doing well and that you are enjoying the benefits of living godly lives.

Where's Mr. Linky?

Hi,

Just wondering what made you decide to put your kids in school? I support both homeschooling and conventional school. I think it depends on what is best for the individual child. I was just curious!

Blessings,
Leslie

Beautiful list Sonya. I loved your comments about your hubby...that's so sweet.

God does have a way of moving us out of our comfort zones at times and there have been a few things lately that He has moved me into that place as well. All praise to Him for that though.

Have a Happy Mother's Day.

Blessings,
