Consistency

My life has been full of changes lately. First, we've decided to move further into the country. Next, we need to purge our house in order to put it on the market. Finally, we are going to be sending our children to a Christian school next year.

Phew! That's a lot to think about. But then things keep on changing. The first house we were interested in sold 3 days prior to us putting a contract on it. Next, the school has offered to let the kids come there for the first 3 classes each day in order to become acclimated to "school". How nice was that!

I've decided that the one thing that is constant in this life is CHANGE!!!

Isn't is amazing that knowing how wrought with change our lives would be at times, God says that He is the same yesterday, today and forever!!! I can always go to Him with confidence that He is who he says He is. I love being a Christian! He truly is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

If your life is starting to frustrate you because of too many changes going on around you, be confident that you can go to God as a source of peace because of His consistency and faithfulness and love.

Yay. I blogged on changes a while back, and you might enjoy it here:
http://chattykelly.blogspot.com/2008/07/ch-ch-changes.html

If you don't have time to link back, the main gist is:

Healthy things grow.
Growing things change.
Change challenges us with all kinds of pain.
The pain of challenge invites us to turn to God and trust God.
Turning to and trusting God results in obedience.
Obedience to your Heavenly Father makes you healthy.
And, HEALTHY THINGS GROW....

Yup - you're healthy!

Wow. I love your post and really was blessed by others comments. I think Chatty Kelly should post her "poem"/comment on her web. WOW! My family is going through a lot of changes as well, so I can definitely relate. I am so thankful for God's unchanging nature!

This causes me to share something I have come to realize, I am NOT a drama queen type of person. I down right hate it!

But our God is into Drama....He wants our lives to SPEAK LOUD AND CLEAR FOR HIM! Not a in your face type of loud, but not a shirking either. So change is inevitable, but I love that He never changes.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

I'm glad to hear that you were able to make the decision about schooling. I know that has been a question in your mind and now it's answered. The right house will show up too.

Just to echo some comments, here, how important to realize that God's direction for our lives may look like 'changes.' How we cope with 'changes' will define us--because we will either be looking at God and trusting Him with every step, or we will be looking at life and trying to figure out and fix the 'changes.'

All in all, you have a lot of reasons to be turning to God right now! Praises for His work and presence in your life....

I love change--in moderation. It keeps life interesting and it keeps me growing and seeking Him.
