Lovely Feet?

Isaiah 52:7 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'"

While attending the Greater Philadelphia Writers Conference last week, a group of bloggers decided to get a picture. We stopped a passerby and asked them to please take the shot for us.

In a weird twist, Chatty Kelly said, "Now make sure you get a picture of our faces, not our feet!" Ironically, this was the picture that ensued! LOL! We all laughed and then tried again for the face shot.

As I looked at the photo, a song we sung in church years ago emerged in my mind. It was about the lovely feet of those who are spreading the good news of the gospel.

At that moment the song really hit home and I believe that this picture was NOT a mistake, but a revelation from God that we are the messengers of the good news of God's love. So now, this picture has become a treasure to me.

How about your feet? If you are sharing God's love with others than they are also beautiful.

Wonderful! I remember seeing this picture on one of the other blogger's site and thought how cool but I love what it can really mean:)
Hope I can be doing that all the time!

My feet are doing quite well these days. I too think it was a sign. So I am going to guess you are the one in white and Kelly is wearing brown. Am I right?

Greg,

Yep I'm wearing white and Kelly is next to me with her princess brown shoes. Clearly the dress code was to wear capri's. LOL! The one next to Kelly is Laurie and on the other side of me was Kelli.

Hi Sonya,

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog this morning! I love to get the chance to meet other writers! Looks like you were blessed to go to the conference and pair up with some fellow writers! We certainly need each other for the encouragement on this journey!

I love it. And, just as my feet are in the picture I pray I would always be faithful to be amongst those messengers! Blessings sis,

I love this picture, Sonya, and think it's God's way of telling all of you that you WILL be bringing good tidings...through your writing!

What a precious memory!

Sonya,

What a great turn around revelation on that picture. It also shows us, that we have to be the ones to do it and one person can not do it alone. We need to carry the word of God in us and let our actions speak the words of God loud and clear.

I love it, too! What a great message to embrace. Whether we use our feet, our hands or even our fingers as we tap on the keyboard let us spread the Good News!

Although, only one of my cute shoes is showing. :-(

Blessings,
Kelli

Thanks Sonya for the encouraging words. Sometimes it feels like my feet are tired, ugly and dirty on this journey. What a sweet reminder that God thinks they're lovely!

I love the thought of writers with beautiful feet! :)

The verses about beautiful feet have already been real meaningful to me because we've been involved in mission trips to a ministry called Beautiful Feet in inner city Ft. Worth. They are bringing the good news to hurting folks every day...

Very good post Sonya!
I used to always cut heads off when I took pictures.
One time when my son was a very young teen he went to basketball camp at OU and I was able to take a quick picture of him with one of OU's best players at the time. When we developed them, I had cut off the player's head. It took him a while to forgive me for that one. :( I'm better now. ;)
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog.
It's an honor to pray for Brittany.
I'll be anxious to hear updates.
God bless you!
