Oh My Word. I saw one the other day that was nothing short of p@rn. Where is this world headed? I was always amazed how they could "transform" them into different things. Our 3rd son had a real talent for doing it quickly. He is now working on his PhD in computers--I wonder if there's a link?:)
Anyway- good idea to preview a movie for your kids. It is a wonder why they feel they have to throw all the bad stuff--so not needed.

I am glad that our Lord transforms our lives into something that He can call His own!

Thanks for this post!

Linda CLinda Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15611487159730301780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741348094812201616.post-65449463285090478042009-07-06T14:09:16.179-04:002009-07-06T14:09:16.179-04:00Thanks for sharing that; comforting. We still look the same on the outside but on the inside, it's a whole different story!

Love and Hugs ~ KatHeart2Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05240536955573366802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741348094812201616.post-39933338587853556622009-07-06T11:13:18.733-04:002009-07-06T11:13:18.733-04:00We saw this movie last week, and I completely agre...We saw this movie last week, and I completely agree! There were scenes that were totally unnecessary! When we got home, my husband asked what that movie was rated because he even thought it was ridiculous. Honostly, I dozed during the big battle. The movie was good, but it was long and loud! I much preferred Night at the Museum 2, which we saw yesterday.

Thanks for your encouragement in your last paragraph. I needed that right now. When my kids were little they had "super heroes" or something like that. These cartoon characters assume roles that the Bible depicts Jesus as fulfilling.

Are these just harmless children's shows? I don't know, they may be. But having read some things about Hollywood, I am a bit suspicious of their motives. I wonder if they aren't sometimes trying to undermine the person and role of Jesus.

Hollywood has an agenda, and it isn't Christian or pro-American. I may be overly suspicious, but like you and your husband, Cheryl and I wouldn't allow the kids to watch these shows and we would't buy the toys or pjs that promoted them.

Good choice previewing this for your kids. That is good hands-on parenting which will bear much good fruit for your family. wbWarren Baldwinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17956713921509659993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741348094812201616.post-28723967323927702722009-07-06T09:51:38.877-04:002009-07-06T09:51:38.877-04:00I agree! You and your husband sound like us- we like to watch the movies ahead of time to see if our kids can watch it or if we can fast forward through some of the unneccessary parts-or if it just plainly isn't for kids. The Patterson 5https://www.blogger.com/profile/11365182817547393631noreply@blogger.com
